Yoga Therapy
Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy for Neurodivergent and Highly Sensitive Adults & Couples
As a trauma therapist specializing in neurodivergent and highly sensitive adults and couples, I understand that healing is a deeply personal journey.
My approach is rooted in empathy, safety, and respect for your unique needs.
I integrate trauma-informed yoga therapy as a powerful tool for healing and self-discovery.
Whether you are navigating past trauma, chronic stress, or simply seeking to reconnect with your body and emotions, trauma-informed yoga offers a holistic pathway toward healing.
What To Expect
You Don’t Need to Be Flexible or Have Yoga Experience
Many people have concerns about starting yoga—perhaps you’re worried about not being flexible, feeling awkward, or never having done yoga before. Please know that you do not need to be flexible or have any prior experience with yoga to benefit from this work. Trauma-informed yoga is not about achieving a perfect pose or pushing yourself to your physical limits. It’s about co-creating a safe enough space together, where you can gently explore your body’s sensations, move with compassion, and reconnect with yourself, step by step.
Co-Creating a Safe Enough Space
In our sessions, we’ll work together to co-create a space that feels safe enough to begin the work. This means you will always have the autonomy to set your own boundaries, move at your own pace, and engage in practices that feel right for you. There’s no pressure to do anything that doesn’t feel comfortable. Whether that means sitting, lying down, or moving in small ways, every step you take will be honored. The goal is not to perform or achieve perfection but to honor your body’s wisdom, allowing you to discover healing in your own unique way.
Yoga Therapy Meets Traditional Therapy
Yoga therapy complements traditional talk therapy, creating a balanced, multidimensional approach to healing. In our work together, we’ll use relaxation techniques, mindfulness, and grounding practices tailored to your needs, helping you build greater self-awareness, resilience, and inner peace.
