Modalities
Parts Work - Internal Family Systems
Parts Work, also known as Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, is a therapeutic approach that views the mind as composed of various parts, each with its own unique thoughts, feelings, and motivations. Parts Work is grounded in the belief that these parts develop as a way to protect the individual and cope with life's challenges. he goal is to facilitate communication and harmony among the parts, promoting integration and balance within the person's internal system. The therapeutic process involves fostering a compassionate and curious stance toward each part, understanding their roles, and addressing any conflicts or imbalances within the internal system. By working collaboratively with the therapist, individuals can develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and integration, leading to improved emotional regulation and well-being.
Integrative Gestalt
Gestalt Therapy is a somatically-oriented, experiential therapy deeply rooted in Humanistic and Existential psychology that has significantly influenced and shaped many contemporary forms of psychotherapy. Developed by Fritz and Laura Perls, Gestalt Therapy draws wisdom from many traditions including psychoanalysis, Jungian psychology, existential philosophy, Zen Buddhism, and theater improvisation.
Yoga Therapy
Yoga therapy is a holistic approach to wellness that integrates the principles of yoga with modern therapeutic techniques. It involves using yoga practices such as postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation, and relaxation techniques to address specific physical, mental, or emotional health concerns. Unlike a typical yoga class, yoga therapy sessions are tailored to the individual's needs, considering their unique abilities, limitations, and goals. The focus is on promoting self-awareness, enhancing mind-body connection, and fostering a sense of balance and well-being. Through a combination of gentle movements, breathwork, and mindfulness practices, yoga therapy aims to alleviate symptoms, reduce stress, improve mobility, and enhance overall quality of life.

Psychedelic (Ketamine) Integration Support
Psychedelic integration refers to the process of incorporating insights, experiences, and emotions gained from psychedelic experiences into one's daily life in a constructive and meaningful way. This process typically involves reflection, introspection, and sometimes professional guidance to help individuals understand and make sense of their psychedelic experiences. Integration can help individuals process challenging or profound experiences, integrate newfound perspectives, and make positive changes in their lives based on insights gained during the psychedelic journey. It often involves exploring themes such as personal growth, spirituality, relationships, and mental health. I provide services support services for Ketamine specifically.
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a holistic modality in which ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy to help eligible patients experience more frequent breakthroughs and sustained improvement in symptoms. I take on the psychotherapy portion of the experience, while a medical team supports you on all medical aspects. This includes determining eligibility, developing a custom treatment plan, prescribing the medicine and monitoring outcomes. I will provide referrals to the medical team or you might have your own referrals available.
*A note about Psychedelic Assisted Therapy
While the use of psilocybin during therapeutic services will not be available until 2024, the decriminalization of the “personal use” of psilocybin mushrooms is effective immediately. This means that it is no longer a criminal offense for individuals to possess, ingest, share, or gift psilocybin mushrooms to persons who are at least 21 years of age without remuneration (i.e. payment.)
Although I have received training in Psilocybin-Assisted Psychotherapy and Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy - Outside of Ketamine Therapy, I cannot legally offer Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy at this time. This might change in Colorado in the near future. MDMA is likely to be approved by the FDA in early 2024, and Psilocybin-Assisted Psychotherapy will likely be available in Colorado in Fall 2024.
I am legally able to provide guidance, and support services for your personal use of psilocybin, however that is separate from therapy and the scope of my license as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Under the new state law, as a licensed counselor I have the following limitations:
I am unable to provide psilocybin-assisted therapy until the state of Colorado has finalized the licensing requirements for healing centers and facilitators, expected to be in late 2024.
I am not allowed to sell psilocybin-containing mushrooms.
I cannot suggest or recommend that you use psilocybin mushrooms for therapy or any other purposes.
I cannot provide or recommend the use of illegal substances.
What I can do now is provide guidance for the safe and effective personal use of psilocybin which has been decriminalized under the personal use clause of Proposition 122.
My main focus is on Client education, harm reduction, and Integration in order to best guide you through your personal use of psilocybin. I honor and acknowledge the extreme healing potential of psychedelic-assisted therapy in aiding individuals who feel stuck in their current mental state and are searching for something deeper to assist them. I remain dedicated to staying up to date with the research in an effort to educate my clients and continuously strengthen the therapeutic relationship. I promise to continue to support my client’s preparedness and process as they embark on their journey toward self-actualization and their dedication to living a full life.
