Rebuilding Self-Esteem
A Trauma-Informed Approach to Rebuilding Self-Esteem
Self-esteem isn’t just about feeling confident—it’s about how you see yourself, how you talk to yourself, and how you show up in the world.
For many of us, self-esteem has been shaped by experiences that left us questioning our worth, our abilities, and our place in the world. These experiences might be rooted in trauma, childhood dynamics, societal pressures, or the relentless expectations we place on ourselves. Wherever you find yourself on this journey, I’m here to walk alongside you, helping you rediscover the parts of yourself that deserve love, compassion, and respect.
What Is Self-Esteem?
Self-esteem is the internal sense of your value and worth. It shapes how you navigate relationships, make decisions, and pursue your dreams. It’s not fixed—it’s fluid and deeply impacted by our histories, beliefs, and the environments we live in. Low self-esteem can manifest as self-doubt, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or harsh self-criticism. Rebuilding self-esteem means healing the wounds that created these patterns and nurturing a more supportive, compassionate relationship with yourself.
How I Can Help You Rebuild Your Self-Esteem
Using a trauma-informed lens, I create a safe and compassionate space for you to explore and heal the barriers to healthy self-esteem. Together, we’ll uncover and gently challenge the beliefs that no longer serve you while fostering the growth of self-acceptance and inner confidence.
Here’s how we can do this work:
Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy
Through yoga therapy, we’ll integrate movement, breathwork, and mindfulness to reconnect you with your body and cultivate self-compassion. This practice helps release stored trauma, quiet the inner critic, and create space for kindness and self-acceptance.
Traditional Therapy Sessions
In weekly or bi-weekly sessions, we’ll delve into the roots of your self-esteem challenges, gently exploring how past experiences and relational dynamics have shaped the way you see yourself. Together, we’ll unpack old narratives and rewrite them with care and intention, fostering a deeper understanding of your inner world.
Using an integrative approach, we’ll draw on tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), IFS (Parts Work), relational therapy, psychodynamic techniques, and somatic practices to create a foundation for lasting change. By combining insight-oriented exploration with body-based awareness, we’ll address the mind-body connection, releasing patterns held in the body while nurturing a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Longer Retreats
If you’re seeking a more immersive experience, my retreats combine therapeutic practices with mindfulness, creativity, and nature. These extended offerings provide a sanctuary for healing and growth, allowing you to reconnect with your inner worth in a nurturing, luxurious environment.
1- and 2-Day Intensives
For those ready to dive deeper, my EMDR and Parts Work intensives offer a powerful, focused space to heal past wounds and integrate the parts of you that feel stuck or unworthy. Intensives allow us to target deep-rooted issues and create meaningful breakthroughs in a supportive, structured environment.
The Journey Forward
Rebuilding self-esteem is not about becoming someone new—it’s about rediscovering the person you’ve always been, beneath the layers of doubt and self-judgment. It’s a journey of honoring your experiences, embracing your sensitivity, and celebrating your unique brilliance.
You don’t have to walk this path alone. Whether you join me for weekly sessions, a transformative intensive, or a healing retreat, I’ll meet you with warmth, empathy, and a commitment to your growth. Together, we’ll create a space where your self-esteem can not only heal but flourish.
Let’s begin this journey together—your worth is waiting to be reclaimed.
