What’s the vibe?

Like the warmth of a familiar embrace, you recognize this space as your own.

Over four transformative days, you’ll be guided through a healing journey that integrates neuroscience, mindfulness, and holistic practices.

This retreat is designed to provide both structure and spaciousness, giving you the freedom to engage with your process in a way that feels safe, supportive, and deeply personal. Surrounded by the serenity of nature, you’ll reconnect with the land and realign with the innate rhythms of your body, mind, and soul—allowing for deep restoration and meaningful transformation.

What’s the itinerary?

Days are filled with a variety of activities, from movement practices, to nature exploration all with the intention of learning to live fully and mindfully, and peacefully.

Our days at the Ketamine-Assisted Healing Retreat will be spacious yet intentional, offering a blend of guided experiences and time for personal reflection. Group activities will foster connection, while solo moments will allow for integration and deep inner work.

Nourishing vegetarian meals will support your healing journey, and the serene beauty of the Rocky Mountains will provide the perfect setting for rest and renewal. Each day will hold space for both introspection and shared exploration, encouraging you to step beyond your comfort zone while honoring your own and others’ transformation.

As the retreat comes to a close, you’ll leave with profound insights, a sense of wholeness, and a community that has witnessed your journey. With a full heart and a renewed perspective, you'll step forward with greater clarity, resilience, and readiness for what’s ahead.

Your experience will include:

  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) offers a unique opportunity to step beyond the limitations of the conscious mind and access deeper layers of healing, insight, and self-discovery. In a carefully guided and supportive setting, ketamine serves as a catalyst for processing stuck emotions, shifting perspectives, and unlocking a sense of possibility beyond past wounds and patterns.

This journey is both profound and personal. Whether you seek relief from persistent emotional pain, a deeper connection to yourself, or a new way forward, KAP provides a safe container for exploration. With skilled facilitators by your side, you’ll be supported in navigating your experience with intention, curiosity, and care—allowing the medicine to meet you exactly where you are.

  • Your body holds the stories of your past—and it also holds the key to your healing. Our body-based practices are designed to help you release stored tension, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and create space for deeper integration. Through guided movement, intentional breathwork, and somatic awareness, you’ll learn to gently unravel patterns of stress and open to new ways of being.

Breath is a bridge between the conscious and unconscious, between the mind and body. By working with it intentionally, you can access deeper states of presence, regulation, and emotional release. Whether activating or grounding, these practices empower you to engage with your healing journey in a way that is embodied, intuitive, and deeply transformative.

  • Our Restorative Yoga and Meditation sessions are designed to gently guide your body and mind into a state of deep relaxation, supporting nervous system regulation and integration of your ketamine experiences. Through slow, intentional movement, supported postures, and mindful breathwork, you’ll create space for your body to release tension and for your insights to settle.

This is not about effort—it’s about surrender. As you rest into each posture, your body receives the nourishment it needs to process, heal, and restore. Meditation further deepens this practice, offering a quiet container for reflection and inner connection. Whether you seek grounding, clarity, or simply a moment to be, these sessions invite you to soften, breathe, and trust in the wisdom of your unfolding journey.

  • Healing doesn’t happen in isolation—it unfolds in the presence of witnessing and being witnessed. Our Guided Integration Circles provide a sacred space for you to process your ketamine experiences with the support of compassionate facilitators and a like-minded community. Through gentle guidance, thoughtful prompts, and shared reflection, these circles help you make meaning of your journey, weaving insights into your daily life.

Integration is where transformation takes root. Whether through speaking, listening, or simply sitting in the energy of the group, you’ll have the opportunity to ground your experiences, gain new perspectives, and feel deeply held in your process. In this space of nonjudgment and authenticity, your healing is honored, your voice is valued, and your journey is supported.

  • Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Colorado mountains, this retreat offers more than just a change of scenery—it’s an opportunity to reconnect with yourself through the healing power of nature. Time spent in the crisp mountain air, under expansive skies, and among towering pines is a powerful way to regulate your nervous system, release tension, and prepare your mind and body for deep therapeutic work.

Nature has a way of gently guiding us back to presence. Whether through mindful walks, moments of stillness by the lake, or simply breathing in the fresh alpine air, you’ll have space to ground yourself, recalibrate, and find a sense of peace within. This retreat is an invitation to slow down, listen to the land, and allow the natural world to support your healing and integration.

  • At our Ketamine-Assisted Healing Retreat, every aspect of your experience is designed to support deep healing—including the food you eat. Our thoughtfully crafted vegetarian meals are designed to nourish your body and mind, promoting clarity, grounding, and ease throughout your journey. By choosing fresh, whole ingredients, we create meals that are both delicious and intentional, supporting your nervous system and digestive health as you prepare for and integrate your ketamine experiences.

What will I learn?

  • A group ketamine experience provides a unique opportunity to explore the depths of your inner world with greater clarity and openness. The medicine can help reveal subconscious patterns, emotional blocks, and deeply held beliefs that influence how you move through life. As your usual thought patterns soften, you may uncover insights about your relationships, personal struggles, and core values. This process allows you to meet yourself with greater honesty and compassion, leading to a deeper understanding of your authentic self. With the support of facilitators and the group container, you’ll have the space to reflect on what arises and begin integrating these insights into your daily life.

  • Ketamine often enhances the connection between the mind and body, allowing you to experience emotions in a more embodied way. Many people report feeling a deep sense of relaxation or even a floating sensation, which can help release tension and stored trauma. This heightened awareness can bring attention to physical manifestations of emotional pain, offering a path to healing that goes beyond cognitive processing alone. Through guided practices such as breathwork, movement, and mindfulness, you’ll learn how to attune to your body’s signals, trust its wisdom, and develop tools for ongoing self-regulation and somatic healing.

  • One of the most profound lessons in a ketamine experience is the practice of surrender. As the medicine shifts your usual mental frameworks, you may be invited to release control and allow the experience to unfold organically. This can be both liberating and challenging, especially for those who struggle with perfectionism, anxiety, or a need for certainty. In the safety of a supportive environment, you’ll learn to meet the unknown with curiosity rather than fear. This practice of surrender can extend beyond the session, teaching you how to navigate life’s uncertainties with more ease, acceptance, and trust.

  • Healing in a group setting offers a unique kind of transformation. While ketamine journeys are deeply personal, sharing the space with others can amplify feelings of connection, belonging, and shared humanity. In this retreat, you will be supported by facilitators and fellow participants who are on similar paths of self-exploration. The experience of witnessing others’ healing journeys—and being witnessed in your own—can be profoundly validating. You may find that emotions and breakthroughs arise not just from your own experience, but from the collective energy of the group. This shared process fosters deep empathy and reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles or our healing.

  • The true impact of a ketamine journey comes in how it is integrated into daily life. The retreat is designed to provide space for reflection, discussion, and embodiment practices that support long-term transformation. You’ll have the opportunity to process your experience through journaling, creative expression, movement, or dialogue. Facilitators will offer guidance on how to bring insights into actionable change, whether through new habits, mindset shifts, or deeper self-care practices. As you transition back into your everyday life, you’ll carry with you the tools and awareness needed to maintain the clarity, resilience, and sense of connection you cultivated during the retreat.

The Medication Process: How it Works

To participate in the retreat, you will need to complete a medical assessment to determine eligibility for Ketamine therapy. We’ve partnered with highly experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) to ensure your safety and well-being.

  1. Initial Assessment:

You will schedule a virtual consultation with one of our contracted Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner’s (PMHNPs) before the retreat. We are working with Liz Connor to provide your medication. Or you might have a provider you’re comfortable with that can prescribe your Ketamine.

  2. Prescription & Dosing:

If approved, your medication will be prescribed in the form of troches or lozenges that are self-administered. You will be responsible for picking up your own ketamine prescription and bringing it with you to the retreat. The dosage will be personalized based on your medical history and therapeutic needs.

  3. Guided Experience:

The retreat will include two group ketamine ceremonies, one on Friday afternoon and one on Saturday afternoon. You may choose to complete one or both ceremonies, depending on your assessment and comfort level. Of course, you are welcome to opt out of any ceremony if you feel it’s not right for you. Each ceremony will be carefully facilitated with guidance, intention-setting, and integration support, allowing you to deepen your connection to the medicine, the group, and yourself. Our facilitators will be present throughout the experience to ensure a safe and transformative journey for all participants.

Ketamine FAQs

  • Ketamine is a legal, safe, and effective medicine used to treat various mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Ketamine has rapidly-acting antidepressant and mood-enhancing effects, which can take effect within 1-2 hours after treatment. It blocks the brain’s NMDA receptors and stimulating AMPA receptors, which are thought to help form new connections in the brain and boosts circuits that regulate stress and mood. Ketamine has also been shown to enhance overall neuroplasticity (the ability of neural networks in the brain to change through growth and reorganization) and anti-inflammatory processes for lasting symptom improvement.

  • Ketamine can impact our approach to what we encounter. Ketamine’s effects, which most people find pleasant, last for approximately 45 minutes on average.

These effects can make people feel “far from” their body. Their muscle function and verbal abilities may be reduced, so you will be laying down during the ceremonies.

While it may be hard to describe what happens during the experience, many people feel that the understanding they gained is clear. Please note that each experience some has while taking Ketamine may vary. While some sessions may be more or less intense than others, the benefits of Ketamine can still be impactful, regardless of how psychedelic a session is. It's important to also understand that Ketamine is not a cure-all and to be flexible with expectations. Think of Ketamine as a tool that can be used help you get un-stuck.

  • Ketamine is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines, which lists the most efficacious, safe and cost-effective medicines for priority conditions, indicating a favorable safety profile. Patients screened for oral KAP must meet a minimum set of safety criteria with clearly-outlined contraindications that preclude treatment.

  • The most common side effects associated with ketamine are nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diplopia, drowsiness, dysphoria, and confusion. Because ketamine can elicit dissociation, participants are prohibited from driving.

In order to minimize the chances of nausea and vomiting, it’s best to avoid swallowing Ketamine. You may take tums, or zofran if you're prescribed an antiemetic, before the session if you're concerned about the possibility of nausea or vomiting.

  • The following would not be appropriate candidates for KAP:

    • Those with unstable medical conditions. This includes uncontrolled glaucoma, uncontrolled hypertension, severe breathing problems, ketamine allergy or sensitivity

    • Those with uncontrolled substance use disorder

    • Those with contraindicated psychiatric disorders. This includes acute mania or mixed state, history of primary psychotic disorder, and active suicidal ideation or severe decompensation

Other considerations include pregnancy, liver disease, cystitis, hyperthyroidism, and history of ketamine use.

  • People with a history of substance use disorders may find KAP treatment helpful. Ketamine is used as a tool in therapy, and the usage is being monitored and supervised. Additionally, the mechanism of ketamine differs from many substances. The medical team conducts a thorough assessment during the initial intake session with any potential client, and will discuss any current and past substance use.

The medical team will determine eligibility during the intake session, and can discuss the risks and benefits with you, although in general we recommend that substance use is stable in order to participate.

  • Each ketamine ceremony is a sacred, guided journey designed to help you connect with your inner self, release emotional blocks, and explore new perspectives. You’ll be provided with a safe, comfortable space and support from our experienced facilitators. During the ceremony, you’ll self-administer the ketamine in the form of rapidly dissolving tablets (RDTs). You’ll be invited to swish the saliva in your mouth for 10-12 minutes and then spit it out. You’ll have the opportunity to take a booster dose to deepen the experience and then be guided through a meditative, intentional experience with support available throughout the session.

  • The booster can be used to increase the depth and duration of the experience. We will offer a booster at 15 minutes after the original dose was self-administered.

  • Participants should always discuss any questions they have about their medication regimen with our medical team. For reference on general guidelines, please see below.

Some common medications that are okay to continue throughout KAP are:

    - SSRI's (Celexa, Lexapro, Prozac, Paxil, Pexeva, Zoloft)

    - Lamictal

    - Wellbutrin

    - Antibiotics

    - Most vitamins and most supplements

In order to maximize the effects of KAP and prevent adverse events, certain medications should be temporarily held or stopped during KAP.

Some general common medication instructions include:

-ADHD meds: Hold the day before and day of KAP if possible

-Cyclobenzaprine and other muscle relaxants: Hold the day of KAP

-Benzodiazepines: (such as Valium, Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan) Generally recommend to hold these at least 24 hrs and if possible 72hrs prior to KAP *It’s okay to continue to take if needed or are concerned for withdrawal

-Antihistamines: (such as Diphenhydramine/Benadryl, Cetirizine/Zyrtec, Loratadine/Claritin) Hold the day of KAP if possible

-Opioids: Hold day of KAP if possible

-Other controlled substances: Hold day of KAP

-Alcohol or THC: Hold at least 48hrs prior to KAP

-Cold/Decongestant or Over-the-Counter Pain Medications (such as Sudafed, Aleve, Advil and Mucinex) - Can continue taking as they're not contraindicated to KAP, but it may be less of an impactful session if someone is sick or uncomfortable, and they may also experience additional sedation from some of these medications. We recommend rescheduling dosing sessions if patients are sick so that they can focus on recovering and get the most out of their KAP session when they're feeling better.

  • Here are some ways to deepen and continue your process:

    • Eat cleanly and hydrate as you settle back into life.

    • If possible, avoid alcohol and other substances in order to keep the experience fresh.

    • Meditate - 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening. Finding stillness is one of the most important things you can do. We encourage you to take this one seriously.

    • Yoga and exercise.

    • Identify and commit to making small changes in your life that will support how you want to be in the world moving forward.

Other FAQs

  • We will have only 8 participants for this intimate retreat. As a guideline, there will be no more than 4 participants per host in each group ketamine ceremony. This small group size ensures a deeply personalized and supportive experience for everyone involved.

The smaller group size allows for a more intimate and focused environment. With fewer participants, we can offer individualized attention, ensuring that each person feels seen, heard, and supported throughout their healing journey. It also allows for a more connected and trusting community, where participants can share their experiences, insights, and integration in a safe and meaningful way. This approach fosters deep therapeutic work and maximizes the effectiveness of the ketamine experience, offering a space for personal growth without feeling overwhelmed by a large group dynamic.

  • While we are offering this retreat to individuals seeking personal healing, we recommend discussing your participation with a partner or friend beforehand to ensure the experience is right for both of you. Your Hosts

Atsede Scarseth, MA, LPC, CIGT, CYT-200, TCYM (She/Her)

My name is Atsede Scarseth (pronounced At-said-uh). I'm a later-in-life diagnosed neurodivergent (AuDHD, 2e) therapist and Certified Yoga teacher. I spent much of my early years confused, overwhelmed, and anxious despite my ability to “successfully” navigate the majority of situations I was presented with. My own trauma history paired with undiagnosed neurodivergence greatly impacted my sense of self. My journey to understanding my needs and how to care for myself included a holistic approach involving my mental, physical, and spiritual wellness.

I like to balance evidence-based therapeutic modalities and spiritually aligned practices (yoga, psychedelic work, intuitive practices, etc.) in retreat offerings to create impactful and life-changing experiences. The majority of my work is centered around trauma recovery, empowerment, and helping deepen people’s understanding of their individual and collective experiences. Together we search for 'the why' that is often missing and work to cultivate a space to redefine terms that have largely been used to produce a sense of shame in each of us. Retreats truly have a special place in my heart and I'm excited to help you deepen your understanding of who you are and watch you show up in the world more authentically and confidently.

Why I Believe in Ketamine Work—Especially in a Group Retreat Setting

Healing is a deeply personal, transformative journey into the layers of our own truth. Ketamine therapy is one of the most profound tools I’ve encountered for accessing the hidden places within—the emotions, memories, and insights that exist beneath the surface of everyday awareness. It allows us to step outside familiar patterns, offering a new perspective on our experiences and a deeper connection to ourselves.

In a group retreat setting, this work becomes even more powerful. Healing in community reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles or our longing for wholeness. When we witness each other in our most authentic, unguarded moments, something shifts—shame dissolves, connection deepens, and healing becomes a shared experience rather than a solitary path. The retreat container allows for immersive integration, creativity, and self-exploration, making space for the kind of deep transformation that lingers long after the journey ends.

Rachel Snitowsky, MA, LCSW (She/Her)

I am a therapist, healer, and passionate advocate for psychedelic medicine. With 11 years of experience working with individuals and couples, I have a special focus on supporting neurodivergent and queer folks. I deeply believe in the power of altered states to facilitate healing and transformation.

I find magic in coming together in groups and retreats, where safe and intentional containers allow for deep healing, sharing, and witnessing. Through these communal experiences, participants are invited to soften, explore their inner landscapes, and emerge with greater clarity, connection, and self-compassion.

Ketamine holds a profound place in my heart for its ability to support mental health, process trauma, and reconnect us to who we truly are. It has been an important part of my own healing journey, helping me navigate anxiety and trauma, and I have witnessed its transformative effects in many of my clients as well. Ketamine is a powerful tool for parts work, a gateway to deep self-exploration, and a medicine that fosters beautiful ceremony and connection to self and others.

My approach blends clinical wisdom with spiritual reverence, honoring the sacred nature of ceremony and gathering in circle to create brave spaces. Grounded in my love for nature and time in the mountains, I bring a steady, intuitive presence to my retreats, creating spaces where participants can soften, explore their inner landscapes, and emerge with greater clarity, connection, and self-compassion.

“That sense that there is no rush, that all will be accomplished in the right time. All is well in nature, and all is as it should be. This is what we would love to have in our everyday lives: that acceptance of being, and that we are perfect as we are.”
